From September to now, I have enhanced my strategies for reading, drafting, and revising my assignments. For most of the readings, I now approach them with a different perspective. When I read, I take more time to annotate, underline terms that might seem relevant, and write down my own thoughts or interpretations of what I’ve read. For my transcultural interview essay, drafting was the most difficult part because I had a lot of information from the transcript, but I didn’t know how or where to start. However, with the exercises done in class, discussing the structure and outline of the essay, it became easier for me to start drafting my essay. I’ve also improved my revision skills, especially after peer reviews. I was able to review my work more carefully, identify mistakes, and make meaningful revisions to create stronger writing assignments.
